8 - Adjust interpupillar distance
The interpupillar adjustment (B) corrects for the distance between your two eyes. Look through both eye pieces and move the eye pieces either apart or closer together until you are able to see through both. When this happens you will have established binocular vision. Take a note of the value next to the index dot and you will be able to set again the interpupillar distance the next time you use the microscope.
