Field iris diaphragm – J
The diaphragm determines the diameter of the cone of light that enters to condenser its position is adjusted with the Condenser centering screws (H). The diameter is set using the ring. Twist it until it is just a bit larger than the field of view. You'll need to change this each time you change between objectives. If the diameter is too large you won't have a clean light path through the optic system, too small and you won't see the whole specimen.
