Diopter adjustment ring – C

Rarely is the focus of a person's right eye the same as the left and this adjustment corrects for that. Close your left eye, look at the specimen with the right eyepiece and adjust the focus using the coarse (M) and fine focus (N) knobs. Once the specimen is focused with the right eye, close it and look through the left eyepiece and adjust the ring (C) on the eyepiece so the specimen is in focus.
